Born and raised in coastal South Carolina, Rush Dixon IV is a documentary and narrative-driven photographer.
His relentless spontaneity has taken him on solo excursions to capture moments often unseen. Rush’s work transforms scenes of decay and neglect into narratives that challenge viewers’ perceptions. Whether it’s abandoned or weathered subjects, he seeks not only to document scenes as they are, but also imagines them as they were, revealing their intrinsic beauty over what’s fabricated. As he continues to travel, Rush remains committed to learning from these landscapes, encouraging viewers to discover the stories of forgotten spaces.
He is currently a BFA candidate in Photography at the Fashion Institute of Technology, experimenting with digital and analog photography, as well as video.
